Gratitude

Hi everyone. I subscribe to a regular email from a service called Daily Gratitude. I would like to share one of those with you in this post. It goes as follows:

"He who is not contented with what
he has will not be contented with
what he wants to have."
Socrates

There's a real difference between
being contented and satisfied, and
you want to be one, but not the
other.

To be contented is to be appreciative
and grateful for what you have, to see
your life as being fully supplied with
everything you need.

To be satisfied is to say that this is
the best it's going to be, and to give
up on anything better.

The key to a successful and advancing
life is to be contented, and dissatisfied!

That is, to be grateful for everything in
your life, and to also know that you can
make it better.

Gratitude is the attitude that comes from
contentment, from appreciation of what
you have, and gratitude creates a
powerful force that makes it possible
for it to be even better.

Wallace Wattles says that "gratitude
is what keeps us connected to the
Source of all the good things we desire."

So be grateful, but not satisfied. See the
good that you have as just a small token
of how good it can be, and resolve to
press on.

Gratitude creates miracles!

Something to think about, isn't it. It goes along the line of really being grateful for what you do have and the good things that you have manifested and the abundance to come. The trick is to really believe you can attract the abundance you desire...remember the Law of Attraction doesn't know the difference between what you do want or what you don't want...just what you are thinking about now...so make sure your focus is on the wants.

In the meantime, and on the subject of attracting what you do want, my wife and I were able to manage to get ourselves to Country Music Week in Vancouver, B.C. which culminates with the CCMA awards show on Sunday. Yes, I am a big country fan (but I love rock and all kinds of other music, too) and my wife Shelly is a singer / songwriter and we are mainly attending to learn more about the music business at various seminars and to meet up with friends and do a bit of networking. It all starts on Thursday (tomorrow). It's going to be a lot of fun, I'm sure.

Got to pack, so till next time,

Cheers!
