Staying Focused

Sometimes, many people find it difficult at times to stay focused on positive thoughts. With all that is going on around us and throughout the world, it's easy to get caught up in the negativity that can sometimes surround us. If this is how some of you feel, fear not, you are not alone. All it takes is a bit of a "time out" where you find a nice quiet place to sit or lay down and turn any negative thoughts into positive ones. The idea is to think about what you DO want instead of what you DON'T want. Micheal Losier describes that clearly in his book, Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't. What you need to do is jot down the negative thoughts you have and then beside them, write down the opposite of what you don't want. For example, if you are focusing on the negative thought of "I'm always in debt.", then you should write down "I want to be financially independent.". Do this with any negative thought you have and you'll soon have a list of positively oriented goals.

Now that you've written these positive goals and thoughts down you will need to remove all doubt that these things will manifest in the future. This step is called "allowing". This is the most important step in using the Law of Attraction. This step can also be the most difficult one since doubt is so ingrained in our mindset from an early age that it makes it a challenge to truly believe that our positive thoughts, goals and dreams can manifest themselves.

How do you know you are manifesting your thoughts, good or bad. Make note of what you think about the most and over the next several days see if you are attracting it or even parts of it. Chances are, you will see manifestation at work at many levels. To make this interesting, think about any "coincidences" you've encountered in the past. Very likely, they are a result or something you attracted with your thoughts. Write them all down...you'll be surprised how long your list will get.

At this point, I'd like to recommend that you find Michael Losier's book and read it front to back and do the exercies he describes. You'll find it very straight-forward and easy to read.
